HIV in Canada: Surveillance highlights from 2017

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a global public health issue with an estimated 1.8 million people newly infected in 2017. The Public Health Agency of Canada monitors newly diagnosed cases of HIV through a national HIV Surveillance System,  in partnership with all Canadian provinces and territories. This webinar will highlight key findings from the forthcoming publication HIV in Canada: Surveillance Report, 2017.  Surveillance data from 2017 will be presented by geographic location, gender, age group, exposure category and race/ethnicity.
